Om Muni Muni Maha Muniye Svaha
The Shakyamuni Mantra, “ "Om" means dharmadhatu, the all-encompassing state. While it can be the dharmadhatu of Buddha Shakyamuni, it can also be the Saha. "Muni" means the mind or the jewel of the mind. "Maha muni" is to realize the nature of the mind, to uncover this very jewel inside very being." Altogether, "om muni muni maha muniye soha" means to actualize the dharmadhatu of the mind or the perfect enlightenment – this is the goal of Dharma practice.
Master Hsin Tao encourages, “Everyone should recite The Shakyamuni Mantra a million times so it is imprinted in our mindstream. That way, we can resonate with the aspiration and the accomplishment of Buddha Shakyamuni. By practicing The Shakyamuni Mantra consistently helps to appropriate one’s intents, enhance the level of spirituality, dispel disasters, purify karmic obstacles, and lastly, uncover the wisdom of the Buddha.
