The Long Medicine Buddha Mantra originates from the Medicine Buddha Sutra. The Buddha advised Manjushri that any ill man who upholds this mantra along with proper diet, all the maladies can be cured. Should one recite it sincerely, wishes can be fulfilled, sickness can be dispelled, and longevity of life span can be expected. As one passes away, one could take rebirth in the Pure Land of Sukhavati, never regress on the spiritual path until the attainment of enlightenment.
